NSTL opens for student community on May 11
The Naval Science and Technology Laboratory (NSTL) located on the National Highway 5 of Visakhapatnam will be open to students on May 11, 2007 from 10.30am to 5pm as part of the National Technology Day Celebrations. NSTL is a defense laboratory and access to it is restricted and reserved. The students community will however be able to take part at the National Technology Day celebrations at the defense lab. The National Technology Day is observed every year to commemorate the nuclear test conducted at Pokhran on May 11, 1998.
Scientists from NSTL will be demonstrating various models and explain interesting scientific phenomena to make the students understand the concepts involved. NTSL, the one of the premier laboratories of Defense Research and Development Organization, is involved in designing and development of advanced naval weapon systems and state of the art stealth technologies.
