Close watch put on place at places of worship
Following the bomb blast at Mecca Masjid at Hyderabad, the city police placed themselves on high alert to prevent any untoward incident. A close watch is kept at all places of worship in the city. At a hurriedly called for meeting, the police officials discussed the situation arising out of the blasts. The police officers and constables were ordered to be vigilant in and around the places of worship to prevent anti national elements from resorting to any destructive by taking advantage of the tense situation.
The Police Commissioner, VSK Kaumudi said that the city police force were always prepared to deal with any emergency. However, they were instructed to be extra cautious in view of the possible impact of Hyderabad blasts in the city. Meanwhile, Visakhapatnam district branch of Federation Mosques, Burial grounds, Idgahs, Dargas and Madarsas condemned the blasts and sought stern action against who resorted to the crime.
The Federation secretary, SH Kabir stated in a press release that a peace gathering was being organized to observe a Black Day in a day or two. The BJP Visakha Mahanagar minority cell chairman Riaz Ahmed demanded protection to be given to Muslims and mosques in import cities and towns including Hyderabad and the culprits to be brought book.
