Foundation stone for water project to be laid

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy during his visit to Gandhi Gramam nearly 50 km from Chodavaram on Thursday will lay foundation stone for the 37 crore integrated water distribution programme. The project would benefit 104 villages in six adjoining mandals. Water would be drawn from Pedderu and the Sarada.

Before laying foundation stone, he will participate in Praja Patham programme at Gandhi Gramam and address a public meeting in the village's high school ground. Apart from the Minister for Commercial taxes, Konatala Ramakrishna, the district officials along with local MLAs and other representatives will participate in the programme.
