Taxies to run in similar lines of Bangalore and Hyderabad
Visakhapatnam is slowly following the trends of Bangalore and Hyderabad. The concept of Call taxies is hitting the city roads from May 23. These taxies will be available at just a telephone call away. The Call taxi services are expected to ease the vagaries of traffic and make traveling more comfortable.
Vizag City Taxi (VCT) will start its services with six Maruti Omni vans, wherein the minimum fare will be Rs. 50 for four kilometers and Rs. 8 charged extra for every additional kilometer. Waiting charges will be collected at the rate of Rs. 4 per every five minutes. The night services fare is on the basis of one and half meter charge.
According to VCT Managing Director G Suresh said that the VCT's drivers are well trained in driving by the respective taxi service groups and adhere to the RTA rules and regulations.
