Salaries have not paid since December lastOn one side, while celebrating the International Women's Day, three lady teachers of Balla Institute of Technology and Management (BITM) at Dwarakanagar were reportedly confined and threatened with dire consequences for asking the management for their salaries. According to the Forth Town police, BITM management had not paid salaries to the faculty since December last year. The post dated cheques issued by BITM director Srinivas Balla reportedly got bounced and the faculty stopped attending the college.
In a recent move, the management has served notices on four faculty members terminating them. Three of them on Thursday went to the college and asked Assistant Director Ramakrishna for which he expressed his helplessness. His brother Raja Ramesh closed the doors and threatened them with dire consequences.
The complainants said he used abusive language and tried to manhandle them when some student interfered and facilitated their escape from the place. A complaint was lodged in the Fourth Town police and the case is under investigation. The management of BITM brushed away the allegations.
