MLC Polls counting on March 23, 25

Arrangements in place for counting at Visakhapatnam

The MLC elections went on smoothly and untoward incident reported. The ballot papers of the MLC elections were kept in Swarnabharati Indoor Stadium amidst tight security.

According to official sources, the counting of votes polled for Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam local bodies' constituencies will be held on March 23 and for graduate and teachers constituencies on March 25 at L. Bullayya College. The Visakhapatnam District Collector and Graduates and teachers constituencies' returning officer AK Singhal, local bodies' constituencies' returning officer and Joint Collector Sandeep Kumar Sultania and other top official were present.

According sources, 11,953 votes in teachers constituency, 10,096 votes were cast and 1,25,196 graduates cast their votes. As for the local bodies' constituency of Visakhapatnam district, 99.7 percent of votes were cast.
