Run as a precursor to Military World Games

The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) is organizing a Mass Run at the Rama Krishna Beach Road on March 27, 2007. The run will at 7 AM in the morning and is organized as a precursor to the 4th CISM Military World Games to be held in Mumbai and Hyderabad between October 14 and 21, 2007. Many other cities too have taken up a similar run on March 27 as a support to the Military games which aims at generating friendship and solidarity amongst armed forces.

Over 2000 participants, including Navy personnel, school children, NCC Cadets, Cadets of Sea Cadet Corps and members of local sports clubs will be taking part in the run. VUDA Chairman PSN Raju will flag off the 3.5 kilometer run that begins at the Coastal Battery to VUDA Park. Flag Officer and Commanding-in-Chief of ENC, Vice Admiral Arun Kumar Singh will give away prizes to the winners.
