Maoists blasted a road-roller

A tribal youth, one G Krishna was seriously injured in a land mine blast at the same place where the Maoists had blasted the APGENCO transmission towers between Dharakonda and Sappala villages near Sileru.

According to reliable sources, a team of police personnel visited the blast site on Saturday afternoon and asked Krishna who was accompanying them to remove a red flag situated close to the damaged towers. Within moments after removing the flag, the land mine exploded causing serious injuries. He was initially given treatment at PHC and later shifted to KGH.

In another incident, the Maoists have blasted a road-roller under Sileru police station limits and there was no causalities.
