Initiatives taken to implement Telugu in Government offices
The District Administration is taking initiatives to implement Telugu as the official language in all Government Offices. As a step towards this, the district officials installed telugu software in all computer systems sent by the Official Languages Commission. The software-installed systems will be sent to various offices in the district.
Speaking at a review meeting on the official languages on Saturday, District In-charge Joint Collector S Satyanarayana directed the officers to implement the Telugu language even for normal office communication such as leave applications and salary slips. He directed that all monthly reports should be prepared in Telugu only.
He also directed the Labour Commissioner to ensure the names of the shops and commercial establishments are also be written in Telugu languages. He described that implementation of Telugu as official language is at 73 percent in the Collectorate and hundred percent in Narsipatnam Metrology Department, 89 percent in Adult Education Department and 81 percent at the Industries Department.
