Attacks aimed to register their protest against killing of Rajamouli
The Maoist went on a rampage in GK Veedhi mandal on Tuesday and torched an APSRTC bus. They also burnt the records of the offices of Coffee Board and AP Forest Development Corporation at RV Nagar. As expected earlier, the attacks were taken place by Maoists. The attacks were aimed at registering protest against the killing of CPI (Maoist) central committee member Rajamouli and approval of alumina refinery in S.Kota mandal.
According to available sources, six uniformed armed Maoists and n unidentified number of militia members went to the Coffee Board and APFDC offices at 2am. They burnt the records and destroyed furniture and later set ablaze an APSRTC bus after asking the crew and passengers to alight.
The police found the pamphlets found at the place stated that the Maoists blamed the police for his comrade's death and protested against the bauxite mining project and asked APFDC to handover coffee plantations to tribals.
