Jindal Group offers

In a press release issued on Thursday, the project head RC Swain said the group plans to set up an alumina refinery of 1.4 million tons per annum at an investment of Rs. 4,000 crore at Boddavara in Srungavarapukota Mandal.

He said that Jindal South West Aluminum Limited has offered equity participation free of cost to all land losers including the assignees, value of which is equivalent to that of the compensation among they receive under the package of R&R benefits. The Group in line with its policy, to enable the land owners become owners in the company as well as participate in the project activities.

The release further said that similar offer of equity has been declared for the land losers of West Bengal steel project proposed in Midnapur district.
