Trial run conducted on the new 10,000 foot runway
On Wednesday, the Indian Navy conducted a trail run on the newly constructed 10,000 feet runway at Visakhapatnam Airport (INS Dega). A Dornier Aircraft of Navy took off from the runway at 8.30am and returned after 15 minute sortie, paving the way for commencement of night landing of wide bodied aircrafts.
