Assures to supply adequate water to the plant

The Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday at a review meeting held at circuit house on the works of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). He assured to supply adequate water to the VSP for its future needs after completion of Polavaram project and also assured the VSP Chairman and Managing Director PK Bishnoi to consider the other request made.

The CMD of VSP Bishnoi said to the Chief Minister that the phase I expansion works of Vizag Steel will be completed by December 2009. He requested the Chief Minister to allocate iron ore mines to the plant and provide water facility beyond 6.8 million tons for the future needs as part of expansion works. He also requested for exemption from Municipal taxes for the plan and township as all services are provided by the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
