Says public opinion disregarded
The CPI on Thursday condemned the Government decision for giving permission to the Jindal Group to set up an alumina refinery at S.Kota in Viziangaram district. The CPI District President speaking to media that the nod for Jindal refinery was in blatant disregard of the public opinion and that may lead to displacement of people and affect the environment. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), BJP and Left parties which formed a committee to fight against the project would discuss the issue at its meeting soon and chart the future course of action.
