Receives Scientist of the Year title from Prime Minister

According to a press release issued by the NSTL Director V Bhujanga Rao said that a scientist CD Malleswar of Naval Science and Technology Laboratory (NSTL) was presented the DRDO Scientist of the Year award for the year 2006.

He received the award from the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh at a function held in New Delhi on July 7, 2007. He stated that the award was presented to him in recognition of his contribution to integrated anti submarine warfare and helicopter fire control systems for the Indian Navy. These are the systems that helped NSTL in achieving self reliance in weapon control systems and resulted in a saving of about Rs. 100 crore

He is an alumni of the National Defence College and a recipient of the DRDO Technology Group Award in the year 2004.
