Government sanctions Rs. 5 crore
The District Collector, Anil Kumar Singhal said that the State Government has sanctioned Rs. 5 crores to the district for distribution of milch cattle during the present financial year.
Presiding over the District Consultative Committee meeting on Wednesday, he said 6000 milch cattle would be distributed to the beneficiaries in the first phase. The cost of each animal worked out to Rs.30,000 and out of which fifty percent would be given by the Government. He directed the officials of Animal Husbandry, MDO and DRDA to visit the villages and identify the eligible persons and prepare a list of beneficiaries by September.
The District Collector reviewed the progress in various department works being undertaken in the district. The ITDA Project Officer, DRDA Project Director and GVMC in charge commissioner and SBI Lead Bank Manager and other top officials in the district attended the meeting.
