Amount meant for upliftment of SCs
The Scheduled Castes Cooperative Finance Corporation is implementing an action plan for the upliftment of SCs for 2007-08 with an out lay of Rs. 11.56 crore. SC Finance Corporation Executive Director ID Raju said that the SC action plan covers the entire gamut of development of SC beneficiaries including land development, training and awareness, enerzisation, horticulture promotion, animal husbandry, self employment schemes.
Land development programme is being taken up for the benefit of 2,000 SC farmers at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh Paddy, vegetables and fruit bearing schemes are being financed by the Corporation. Irrigation facility is being extended in assigned lands, ceiling lands and purchased lands for sinking of bore wells, execution of lift irrigation schemes etc.,
