Taekwondo Championship 2007 from January 17

More than 1000 participants to take part

The 4th Open National Juniors and Seniors Taekwondo Chamionship-2007 will be conducted on January 17 at Swarna Bharati Indoor stadium. Nearly more than 1000 participants from 13 States besides Services and CISF will take part.

The City Police Commissioner and Chairman of the Organizing Committee VSK Kaumudi speaking to media said that the junior black belt and black belt championship would be held in Fin, Fly, Rantam, Fether, Light Weight, Middle Light, Heavy and Heavy categories whereas seniors will fight out in Fin, Fly, Bantam, Fether, Light, Welter, Middle and Heavy light categories.

He added that 290 players from Andhra Pradesh, 110 players from Maharastra and 80 players from Karnataka are participating in the event.
