Protest against the alleged discrimination by ZP chairmanThe Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders continued their novel protest against the alleged discrimination against the TDP MLAs and ZPTCs by the Minister for Commercial Taxes, Konathala Ramakrishna and ZP Chairman Gorle Ramamurthy Naidu a ZP Office on the second consecutive day.
Narsipatnam MLA Ch. Ayyannapatrudu and TDP rural president Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy bathed on the ZP office premises and had their breakfast and lunch along with party workers. They stayed in night and vowed to intensify the agitation.
The police from entering the ZP office premises prevented a large number of TDP workers but they were let in after former VUDA Chairman SA Rehman and for MLA PGVR Naidu convinced the police that they come to express solidarity with the leaders. After sometime, the scene shifted to Andhra University School of Distance Education where School Education Minister N. Rajya Lakshmi attending a regional conference on education. A Team led by Naidu and submitted a memorandum to the Minister seeking action against the ZP Chairman and Commercial Taxes Minister whom they accused of depriving the rights of the elected representatives. Meanwhile, heavy police force posted to prevent any untoward incident.
