Visakhapatnam, January 6, 2007

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy unveiling late Dronamraju Satyanarayana bronze statue at Siripuram on Saturday said that there was no one who had not studied in the political college of Dronamraju. He said that Dronamraju was a staunch loyalist of Indira Gandhi and during the crisis days, when most of the Congress leaders deserted her, he stood by her like a rock.

He lauded the contribution made by Dronamraju Satyanarayana for the development of Visakhapatnam district. On this occasion, he announced the naming of Siripuram after Dronamraju and will be known as Dronamraju Square. He hoped that Visakhapatnam I MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao would fulfill the aspirations of his late father.

Inaugurating the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar housing colony at Tatichetlapalem, he promised houses for the homeless in the next couple of years. The Visakhapatnam II MLA S. Ranga Raju and VUDA Chairman PSN Raju, MP N. Janardhana Reddy were prominent among them in the occasion.
