Entries to be made in the service registers of employeesThe Government conducted a regional awareness meeting on Tuesday on the controversial GO 610 to elicit public opinion. Secretary to Government ordered the Collectors of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts to finalize the local status of each government employee in ten days and register the name in their service registers.
He asked the officials to acquit themselves with the GO, which pertains to local status of employees and regularization of services, who were directly appointed in government departments. The district, where the employee studied for atleast four years between Class IV and X would be considered as his/her domicile. In case of Class IV employees, districts where they studied for a minimum period of four years between class I and VII have to be considered as their local districts. Relevant certificates of proof should be produced to facilitate implementation of the legislation.
He warned the employees that the salaries and other benefits of employee would be stopped if they fail to comply with the GO. Details about the GO can be had from the website aponline.gov.in. All Collectors concerned and GVMC Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Meena and VUDA Vice Chairman G. Venkataram Reddy participated in the event.
