Says Government is not anti-poorThe Minister for Revenue, Dharmana Prasada Rao speaking to media again clarified that the Government is not against the poor as it is made in a section of press. He said that the government has not confiscated any land belongings to the poor or middle classes.
The Minister said that it had identified nearly 1035 acres of assigned lands under the affluent sections in and around Hyderabad. The unauthorized landowners include 50 persons belonging to wealthy sections including the Margadarsi Chit Funds and Ramoji Film City and some contractors and industrialists.
The Revenue Minister said that the Koneru Ranga Rao Committee made suitable recommendations on the assigned lands imbroglio. The Committee also suggested steps to tackle permanent establishments on assigned lands. A Cabinet sub-committee would study the committee report and clarified that a decision will be taken on the issue.
