Operations of private buses plying on RTC routesThe National Mazdoor Union (NMU) has threatened to cease private buses plying on the routes of the APSRTC from February if the authorities fail to check them. At the 23rd State Level NUM conference, union working president M Nageswararao said that the operation of the private buses on the APSRTC routes was causing a financial loss of nearly Rs.1000 crore to the APSRTC every year.
He said that the NMU would organize Statewide protests from February 11 if the management failed to take any concrete measure to curb the illegal operations of the buses. He charged that the high power committees appointed in all the districts have failed to check the menace.
