Kennel Association organizes dogs show

140 dogs of 32 breeds participated in the show

Nearly 140 dogs of various breeds and sizes participated in the first All Breeds Open Dog Show conducted by the Kennel Association of Visakhapatnam at YMCA grounds on Sunday. The dogs were awarded for being perfect, maintaining all the prescribed standards of their breed.

A large number of dog owners and trainers in the city attended the show with their pets, which included Pekingese, Pomeranian, Miniature, Pinscher, Pugs, Hounds, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Bullmastiff, Lhasa Apso, Dalmatians, German Shepherds, Doberman and the Great Dane.

The competitions were conducted in resemblance, obedience and attacking nature of the dogs. Mementos were presented to the winners. Canine lovers, children in particular attended the show in large number.
