Andhra University to hold the examination

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University (AU) L. Venugopal Reddy said that it will conduct computer based English language practical examination from January 18 to February 10. The examination will be conducted in association with Edutech India Private limited, a Chennai based provider of technology based learning and assessment solutions.

He said that nearly one lakh students of first and second year undergraduate courses will take part in the examination which is compulsory as communication skills in English is becoming necessary qualification for employment in various organizations. He said that the University has identified 58 colleges with adequate computers to conduct the examination for students of its affiliated colleges. The examination for students of its affiliated would test skills in accuracy, fluency and listening comprehension of English.

The AU Registrar P. Vijaya Prakash and Eductech India Private Limited marketing services manager N. Aparna were present on the occasion. The VC said that the results will be announced on the same day itself.
