Management students have edge over technology students

Visakhapatnam, January 2, 2007

Head of the Department of Commerce and Management studies of Andhra University (AU) inaugurating a management event ‘Disha-2007’ on Tuesday said that management students can play a key role in bringing the product from the manufacturers to the end users. He said the management students had an edge over other technical professions.

Management students can enter in any organization, as their skills are needed to market or manage the products. He said with the entry of companies like Reliance into retail market, the demand for management students has increased and their retailing will institutionalize a system to benefit the end users.

LG Polymers Limited general manager B. Sudhakar urged the students to enhance their skills knowledge regularly. Students from ten colleges have participated in the two-day management programme. The programme organized for young managers include Investophile, Adoite Ace, Hours of Dilemma, Trendsetters, Tactics, Market Hunters and others.
