Participate in various government programmesThe Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy will visit Visakhapatnam to participate in various government programmes and a party meeting on January 6, 2007. His visit gained importance in view of the forth-coming Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections.
He will arrive in the early morning and review with the Congress leaders on strategies to be followed during the municipal elections and may interact with some intellectuals in this regard. He will unveil the statue of Veteran Congress leader Dronamraju Satyatyanarayana at Siripuram junction and address a meeting.
He will stay in the night and leave for Srikakulam on January 7 and will inaugurate the new premises of District Congress Office in Srikakulam and interact with the local Congress leaders. He will also inaugurate the DM & HO Office at Palasa Municipality building, BC Welfare Hostel and lay foundation stone for Nagavali flood bank. He will review meetings with the district officials of different departments on January 8 and leave for the Capital in the evening.
