CM to inaugurate global meet on Ceramics

CERATEC-2007 to be held at AU Engineering College

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, L. Venugopal Reddy (VC of Andhra University) Chairman of the National Advisory Committee of CERATEC-2007 and Y. Siva Sagar Rao (CMD OF VSP) is chairman of national organizing committee, said that the country was recognized as the seventh largest producer of ceramics and projects like ceramic city were essential to tap business potential.

Y. Siva Sagar Rao said that they would take the proposal for setting up ceramic city at Sabbavaram. The Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy will inaugurate the International Conference on ceramics ‘CERATEC-2007’ at AU Engineering College on Monday. The convener of CERATEC S. Durga Prasad said that the industry giants had expressed their willingness to initiate steps for setting up the ceramic city in the port city but the government appeared to be disinterested in the project due to various reasons.
