Visakhapatnam, February 14, 2007

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) was awarded the 5S certification by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI). The 5S concept is a Japanese concept for improving the work culture, quality maintenance and self-discipline.

The VSP had been implementing it for the last three years in four departments including Wire Rod Mil, Utilities Maintenance and Stores, under the guidance of QCFI Deputy Director of Hyderabad BR Bangray.

QCFI Director S. Srinivasan handed over the certificate to VSP director (Operations) PK Mishra last week at Hyderabad.
