Visakhapatnam, February 10, 2007

The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has bagged first prize in the INSSAN National Award Contest for Organizational excellence and suggestion scheme for 2006'. This is the first time that the VSP bagged the first prize.

The award was received by the DGM (Management services) Kanakayya along with the Deputy Chief Manager P. Chandrasekhar at the 17th National Convention of Indian National Suggestions Schemes’ Association (INSSAN) held at Jamshedpur.

Nearly 25 organizations including TISCO, TATA motors, Bhilai Steel Plant, BHEL, NTPC, BEL and Sterilite etc., participated in the convention. About 80 case presentations on implemented suggestions and about 30 technical papers were presented in the convention.
