DoRA transferred to non-functional positionIn the recently unearthed Treasury scam worth over Rs. 1.41 crore and with the suspension of two officials, the State Director of Treasuries and Accounts (DoTA) identified the involvement of another seven more employees taking the number to nine for misappropriation of salary payable to special education volunteers (SEV).
According to official sources, the suspension orders have been served on Araku Sub Treasury Officer S. Appa Rao and Paderu Assistant Treasury Officer B. Narasimha Murthy for their complicity in the role of a sub treasury officer, three senior assistants and one junior assistant of Paderu and one senior and one junior assistant at Araku.
While inquiry into the role of above employees is on, DoTA ordered their transfer to non focal points after March, according to the District Treasury Officer A. Lakshmi Kumari.
