All kids below five years get five polio drops

Addressing the district task force meeting, the Joint Collector, Sandeep Kumar Sultania directed the officials to administer polio drops to all children below five years during the pulse polio programme on February 11, 2007 and make it a grand success.

He said that 14,736 staff were appointed to administer polio drops to 4,51,133 children in the district, 366 supervisors, 104 mobile teams and 128 transit teams will be working on that day. He directed the officials to ensure that all the children are covered. He urged them to concentrate on the children of migrant workers and gypsies. He instructed the Transco officials to ensure power supply to PHCs to enable storage of vaccines.

ZP Executive Officer P. Rama Rao, District Immunization Officer J. Sarojini, DM & HO P. Jagannadham and GVMC Chief Medical Officer MS Raju and others participated in the meeting.
