Pulses seized worth over Rs. 29,18,585The District Civil Supplies officials seized pulses, essential commodities stored illegally in the godowns of wholesale and retail trades during raids in several areas in the city. Nearly 79,475 kgs of stock worth over Rs. 29,18,585 was seized in the raids.
The Joint Collector, Sandeep Kumar Sultania said that 33.9 quintals of stock worth Rs. 1,43,662 from Pantaloon food products at MVP Colony, 19.2 quintals of stock worth Rs. 99,371 from Big Bazaar in Dwarakanagar, 114.00 quintals of stock worth Rs. 3,76,050 from Om Srilakshmi Traders at Maddilapalem. 56.05 quintals of stock worth Rs. 3,14,339 from Spensers Retail limited at Paradesivanipalem, 34.99 quintals worth Rs. 2,01,012 from Trinetra Super Market at Mindi. 517 quintals worth Rs. 16,94,900 from Shahil Trading Company at Poorna Market, 11.76 quintals worth Rs. 62,536 from Meghana Hyper Market in Gopalapatnam and 6.73 quintals of stock worth Rs. 26,715 were seized from Sri Venkata Ramana Trading Company in Gajuwaka.
