Five students sustained injuries in clashes
The Andhra University returned to normalcy on Sunday after the police intervened in the caste clash at Nagarjuna Hostel on Saturday. The police arrested two students who began fracas over debatable arguments.
The caste-based argument between the duo led to fisticuffs between the students of the both the communities in front of the Registrar’s office on Saturday afternoon wherein nearly five students sustained injuries.
It is learnt that the police have asked the Andhra University authorities and the student leaders to resolve the issue amicably the earliest.
