Incident came into light only on Sunday

A tile polish worker, Yesu was arrested on Sunday for raping a seven year old girl at her house in the Vambay Colony. Though, the incident occurred on December 16, 2007 it came to light only after the girl's parents approached the Kancharapalem Police on Sunday.

Police sources said that the girl's parents, both daily wage workers left the victim at their home and went for work. When they returned in the evening, the girl's mother founder her bleeding. However, she overlooked it thinking that she might have received injuries while playing. When the bleeding did not stop for a couple of days, the couple consulted a doctor who found that the girl was raped. During investigation, the police arrested the accused. However, it is leant that Yesu named another youth who was involved in the incident.
