Police personnel, Clues team and Dog squad rushes to the spot
One K Umarani, a housewife was found murdered in her home in Old Town area on Friday. She along with her husband and children were residing in Vasantha Rao Street near Kurupam market. Muralikrishna, her husband drops the children at school in the mornings and around noon Umarani goes to the school to give lunch boxes to her children.
As usual, Muralikrishna dropped his children to the school in the morning but his wife did not take the lunch boxes to the children. The teachers phoned Muralikrishna to find out what happened. He immediately phoned his house but there was no response. He called up someone living around the ground floor and asked them to check up. The man went up and found that the door was bolted from outside and he informed the same to Muralikrishna. He immediately phoned his brother Ramesh Gupta who was working at a private firm in Old Town who rushed to the house and shocked to see his sister lying in a pool of blood in the room.
The matter was informed the police. The police personnel and Clues team visited the house. They pressed the dog squad but no breakthrough was achieved till late in the evening. The police are investigating the case.
