MoU for VSP's wire rod mill expansion plan

As a part of the ambitious expansion plan to 6.3 million ton, the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) signed an MoU with Morgan USA on Monday. The MoU was signed by the Executive Director (Projects) of VSP AK Banerjee, Vice President of Morgan USA Mark Shore, Managing Director of Morgan India Nikhil Bhatia and on behalf of consortium partners, Executive Directors of MECON MK Sharma and Stein Heurty India's Senior Executive Director Boyer and MD SL Mather according to a press release.

According to a release, the Rs.622 crores wire rod mill contract involves a foreign exchange component of 46.6 million dollars and would be executed by Morgan USA's Indian subsidiary, the Morgan India. The work is expected to be completed within 27 months according to MoU.
