Plans for massive protests at the Secretariat on August 27
The United Teacher's Federation (UTF) honorary president Ch Subhashchandra Bose inaugurated a dharna at the District Collectorate on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that a massive protest will be staged at the Secretariat on August 27 if the long pending demands of the teachers were not met by the government.
He charged that the government had been dragging the issue of common service rules for three years in Municipal aided schools were not filled for several years. The other demands include appointment for all vacant posts and good student teacher ratio and special DSC for agency areas.
District general secretary N Subbarao said that the struggle on local as well as State level problems would be intensified. CITU district president Ajay Sarma deplored the attitude of the government on primary education.
