The Steel Secretary RS Pandey accompanied by Steel Ministry officials on Saturday visited the expansion area of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). They were accorded warm welcome at Hilltop Guest House by the Chairman and Managing Director of VSP PK Bishnoi and other directors PK Mishra, HS Chhatwal and Y Manohar.
He visited steel melting shop 2, blast furnace 3 and raw material handling plant areas and reviewed the Gangavaram Port works. The directors briefed the progress of work to the dignitaries. Later, he discussed with the directors, Chief Vigilance Officer and VSP officials on matters pertaining to expansion and corporate social responsibility.
Special secretary and Ministry of Steel financial advisor AK Rath, Ministry of Steel Joint secretary G Ellias and Deputy secretary N Vijayalakshmi accompanied Pandey.
