Plea to retain AP Grameena Vikas Bank Headquarters in the city

MP Kishore Chandra Deo appealed the Minister of State for Finance

The Parvathipuram MP V Kishore Chandra Deo has appealed to the Minister of State for Finance, Pawan Kumar Bansal to retain the controlling office of the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank in Visakhapatnam instead of shifting it to Nalgonda. It may be recalled that the bank was created by merging the five rural banks which were sponsored by State Bank of India.

He submitted a memorandum to the Minister copy of which is released to media stated that the closing down of bank's controlling office appears to be a political compulsion rather than prudent administrative decision.

He added that the bank's administrative office at Visakhapatnam was a must in view of its strategic position in the State, volume of business and branch network.
