VSP CMD says expansion project on course
Pomp and gaiety marked the celebration of the 61st Independence Day celebrations by the industries located in and around the city on Wednesday. Top executives of the companies dwelt on their expansion and augmentation efforts and urged the workforce to take pledge to achieve dizzy heights to enable their organizations to compete globally.
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Chairman and Managing Director, PK Bishoni after unveiling the tricolor flag at Trishna grounds at Ukkunagaram said that the expansion project of the VSP was being implemented as per scheduled. He said that all major packages had been finalized and orders had been placed for more than 80 percent of the expansion work. The HPCL Visakha Refinery Executive Director AS Rao in his address at the celebrations held at the refinery spoke on the oil industry scenario and the record production of Visakha Refinery and congratulated the employees for their committed efforts.
The Hindustan Shipyard Limited CMD Ajit Tewari said was a matter of great joy that during the last three years, HSL had made significant progress both in physical and financial terms by enhancing its income from Rs.127 crores to Rs.400 crores. NTPC Simhadri General Manager R Venkateswaran hoisted the national flag and inspected the parade presented by a contingent of CISF jawans and students at Bal Bharati public school. DCI, NALCO, EPDCL, Hindustan Zinc, Coromandel Fertilizers, VUDA and other organizations also celebrated the Independence Day celebrations in a befitting manner
