To launch agitation from third week of August

After the Left parties, it is now the turn of the BJP to launch a Bhu Poratam. According to BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya, the agitation will be launched in the third week of this month. Speaking to media on Sunday, that the BJP is discussing the strategies in this regard at a special meeting at Hyderabad on August 14, 2007 with all party district units.

Party National President Rajnath Singh, Former Party Presidents Bangaru Lakshman, M Venkaiah Naidu, Ch Vidyasagar Rao and N Indrasena Reddy would participate in the meeting. He said that the TDP has no moral right to agitate for lands in the name of development.

He commented that the Left parties have failed in securing a remedial action by the State Government and are now talking the second phase of agitation while putting a show of unity among themselves.
