Normal life not disturbed; Buses operates as usual
The Bandh call given by the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP) has shown no impact on the normal life in the city. However, some of the shops and educational institutions has shut down on their own accord. Despite the appeal given by the BJP leaders, there is little to no impact of the bandh call on the normal life.
More than 95 percent of Government offices, Educational institutions and Financial organizations worked normally. A rally was taken from APSRTC Complex to Jagadamba junction in the morning. The BJP activists forcibly closed some shops and Bank of India and the GM – Telecom office. Later, they organized a human chain at the Jagadamba Junction.
Speaking on the occasion, the BJP leader K Haribabu urged the Government to impose COCA Act to tackled the terrorists activities in the state. At Kancharapalem, the BJP activists have stopped Howrah-Chennai Express. However, no untoward incident has reported from any where. The train left on its course after sometime.
