Drug licenses of five medical stores cancelled

In a press release issued, the Drugs Control Administration (DCA) suspended licenses of 23 medical stores in the city in the month of June and July for selling habit making drugs without any prescriptions, not issuing proper bills or selling medicines in the absence of a registered pharmacist.

DCA Licensing Authority, R Uday Bhaskar, in the release, said that retail drug licenses of three medical stores and two wholesale drug licenses of two medical stores were cancelled. He said that prosecutions were initiated against three medical stores.
