People from all walks of life participated
People from all walks of life transcending religious barriers joined a peace rally organized by Seerath Committee of Milad-un-Nabi. The rally started from Reserve Line Masjid near Satynarayana Theatre in the morning and concluded at Ishak Madina Darga in the old town.
Nearly 1000 people from various religious communities including Hindus, Christian, Sikh and Jains participated in the rally. The General secretary of Seerath, Sh. Ahmed Vali said that the rally was taken out to spread the message of peace and universal brotherhood.
The rally concluded with the speeches by the imams of various mosque and a namaz. Community lunch was also organized. Speaking on the occasion, the president of TDP urban district unit CMA Zaheer Ahmed sought the cooperation of people from all religions, communities and castes to strive for the uplift of the poor.
