On a branch expansion spree
The city-based Kanakamahalakshmi Co-operative Bank has reported a profit of Rs. 1.2 crores (subject to audit) during the year according to its release. The Grade I Bank as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) categorization has manged to grow its deposits and advances as well as increased the credit – deposit ratio on one side and decrease non-performing assets on the other.
The bank has reported deposits of Rs. 33.03 crores and advances of Rs. 25.53 crores. With an impressive performance, the bank has submitted its request for approval to RBI for a branch in Gopalapatnam.
