Reddy’s Laboratories Cancer Drug Plant to be inaugurated

Facility designed to cater to manufacturing needs of international companies

The Reddy’s Lab Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer Satish Reddy speaking to reporters that the first finished dosages plant set up in the city at a cost of Rs. 40 crores will be inaugurated on Wednesday.

The facility developed to produce a brad range of products and has built up area of 15.7 acres at Duvvada and this is the seventh finished dosage facility of the company. He said that this facility would be expanded with an investment of Rs. 10 crores to Rs.15 crores in the next couple of years. As of now, Reddy’s Lab was the leader the country in producing onclogical drugs. He said they had no plan to set up a bulk drug unit in the proposed Pharma City at Parawada as they had a very big facility at Pydibhimavaram in Srikakulam district.

The Executive Vice President Ashwin Kumar Malhotra said that with the setting up of the new unit in Visakhapatnam, the key focus is on using the most advanced techniques and large pool of scientific talent for rapid developments.
