Licensing system for Builders in VMR

Applications will be issued in the reception counter of VUDA from October 4

The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has decided to implement licensing system in the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region (VMR). It has invited applications for the same from developers, builders and other technical persons involved in construction and development activity in VMR jurisdiction under land use regulations and development control rules of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department. Applications will be issued in the reception counter of VUDA from October 4.

The system is meant to ensure standard and quality in development and building activity in conformity to code of practice and promotion of planned development in VUDA area in accordance with the zoning regulations. It is intended to safeguard public interest and also to arrest mushroom growth of developers and builders. The track record of developers would be studied for the purpose of issuing licences.
