Chief Minister express confidence
Speaking at a public meeting at V Madugula after releasing water from Rs.38 crore Pedderu reservoir on Sunday, he said completion of Pedderu reservoir showed the Government's commitment to Jala Yagnam and it would not be deterred by false propaganda being made by opposition parties. He expressed confidence that the Government would overcome the legal hurdles being faced by Polavaram project in a month or two. Polavaram project would create an ayacut of two lakh acres in Visakhapatnam district and added that the Government had taken steps to complete various medium and minor projects in the region within the shortest possible time.
The Chief Minister said that 87000 houses were being built for the poor under Indiramma scheme and 25000 more would be grounded soon. Ponnala Lakshminarayana said that the opposition parties could not prevent the Government from fulfilling the promises made before the Assembly elections.
