Speaking to media on Monday, Swarnima Bharata Yuva Padayatra organizer BK Sasikala said that the main aim of padayatra is for personality development of the youth. She said that the youth wind of Brahmakumari’s was advisor on peace to United Nations Organization and conducting various events to promote friendliness and understanding more among the people.
‘Swarnima Padayatra’ was one such programme aimed at utilization of the youth as a unifying force and to promote mutual understanding. By going around different places, the padayatra team would spread awareness about various social issues and mobilize support for various public issues. She was organizing 31 such padayatras in the country and the main objective was to motivate the youth to have ethics.
She said that the Commissioner of Police, VSK Kaumudi would welcome the padayatra team at CMR Function Mall on Tuesday in the morning and a rally would be taken out from the same place on September 6, 2006.
